What Is Equity Release?
Equity sitting idle, put to work.
Equity release (also called capital release) lets you borrow against the equity in a property you already own or control, without selling it. It's for situations a bank's standard refinance process is too slow or too rigid for: funding a new purchase, injecting capital into a business, or covering a shortfall on a deadline. The asset already exists, the equity just needs unlocking.
How It Works
Four steps, no bank queue.
Tell us the asset
The property, its approximate value, and what's owed against it already.
Tell us the use
What the released capital is actually funding, that shapes how quickly we can assess it.
Indicative terms, fast
Most enquiries get an indicative answer within 24–48 hours.
Equity released
Funds move once security and conditions are in place, on a timeline that suits you.
What It Funds
Equity, put to a real use.
Property purchase
Using equity in one property to fund the deposit or full purchase of another, without waiting on a sale.
Business capital injection
Releasing equity to fund working capital, stock or growth, secured against property rather than the business itself.
Debt consolidation
Combining multiple facilities into one, funded by equity, when consolidation genuinely improves the position.
Time-sensitive shortfalls
A payment, settlement or obligation with a deadline a bank's standard process won't meet.
Why Not the Bank?
Your equity, on your timeline, not a bank's.
A bank refinance to release equity can take weeks and comes with its own checklist of conditions. Rave assesses the asset and the use directly, so the capital arrives while it's still useful, not after the opportunity has passed.

Straight answers.
Equity release is borrowing against the equity in a property you already own, without selling it, to fund something else: another purchase, a business need, or a shortfall. It's secured against the existing asset.
